When it comes to lip products, I’ve always been a gloss girl at heart. However, lip stains have truly stolen a piece of my beauty-loving soul. There’s just something magical about getting the rich color payoff of a lipstick without the mess or constant touch-ups. They’re lightweight, low-maintenance, and perfect for busy days or long travels.
Here are some of my favorite lip stains that have earned a permanent spot in my collection!
Etude House Dear Darling Tint in Dracula Red
This lip stain has been a longtime favorite of mine because it gives beautiful color without feeling drying. I like to apply a light lip balm first. Then I layer this tint. It stays put all day long. The shade Dracula Red is a stunning deep blood red that feels effortlessly bold but still wearable.

SushyGlow Bloody Tint in Lilith
This one’s definitely a statement tint! The SushyGlow Bloody Tint is a water-based formula that creates a vivid, almost theatrical stain. The brand recently updated their packaging since I bought mine, but the formula still delivers that striking, “freshly bitten” effect.
Because it’s water-based, it can be a little drying — so good lip prep is a must. I personally love this one for bold looks, cosplay, or Halloween-inspired makeup. The shade Lilith is a rich, deep burgundy that looks stunning on all skin tones.

Bayfree Lip Tint Stain
I discovered these on TikTok Shop and couldn’t resist picking up the full red set. The Bayfree Lip Tint Stains come in several red tones, all cooling and comfortable for hot summer days. These are water-based as well, giving that refreshing, glassy tint effect without stickiness.

Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint
The Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint is one of the most beautiful, glossy lip stains I own. It adds instant radiance to the lips while keeping them hydrated. I have two shades:
- Warm-Gorithm — a soft nude pink that’s great for everyday wear.
- Rose in Mind — a delicate rose pink that brightens the face instantly.
💫 Why I love it: Glowy, moisturizing, and makes my lips look plump and healthy.
LilyByRed Bloody Liar Coating Tint in Talented Peach
If you want a lip tint that feels more like skincare, this is it. The Lilybyred Bloody Liar Coating Tint has a gel-based formula that’s moisturizing, glossy, and buildable. The shade Talented Peach is a gorgeous peachy-pink that gives that just-bitten, fresh-lip look.

Cezanne Watery Lip Tint
I picked these up during my trip to Japan, and they’ve quickly become everyday staples. The Cezanne Watery Tint Lips have a light, gel-like texture that gives moisture while leaving behind a beautiful stain. I have two shades:
- Natural Pink — a soft coral-pink that adds warmth.
- Pink Beige — a nude pink that’s perfect for subtle, polished looks.

Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint
This is one of the cutest products in my collection. The Dear Darling Water Gel Tint is shaped like a tiny popsicle! The formula combines the lasting power of a water tint. It also includes the comfort of a gel tint. This gives you both hydration and vibrant color. The shade Oink Red is a juicy watermelon red that’s perfect for spring and summer.
