Hi pretties! I discovered Osewaya last year, when I was scouring the depths of the internet for cute jewelry. I decided to do a little haul, and here are the pieces I got from Osewaya!
About the brand
Empowering People Through Fashion Jewelry
Osewaya started in Japan in 1977 by Kiyoshi Ushiba. Satrting from a small jewelry import company, now we are one of the largest fashion jewelry wholesalers in Japan.
We also have been running phisical stores not only in Japan but Singapore, Hongkong, Thailand, China and Vietnam. From everyday earrings to cottagecore jewelry, a wide range of items catch attention worldwide. Our presence is getting bigger both online and offline.
CEO Kiyoshi Ushiba
“I have been hoping for good luck of people who know Osewaya: customers, factories, employees and more. Selling fashion items is like selling fresh food. We have to pay serious attention to keeping the freshness, seasonality, and preferences of people. We are dedicated to identifying the latest fashion trends globally. Our goal is to create fashionable items everyone desires.”
Making a Difference in the Community
We believe that businesses have a responsibility to give back. Therefore, we have made CSR a priority in our organization.
Inclusivity
Diversity and inclusion are important values for our company. We work hard to ensure that our hiring practices and workplace policies promote equality. We believe that diversity is not just a moral imperative. It is also a business imperative. Companies with a diverse workforce are more innovative and successful.
Emergency Management
We believe that emergency and disaster management is crucial to our CSR activities. An AED has been installed at the company’s entrance. We also have an emergency drill every year, in which employees can learn how to respond to an unexpected event.
Charitable Donations
We give back to the community by volunteering our time and resources. The company support local charities and organizations in these efforts. We believe that it’s important to support the community in which we live and work, and we’re always looking for ways to make a positive impact and work with various organizations and foundations:
・Japanese Red Cross Society
・Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders)
・Japan Committee for UNICEF
・Social Business Platform
Enviromental Beautification
As a part of our contributions to the local community, we clean up around our headquarters every morning. We also communicate with neighbors.
I love how Osewaya is committed to inclusivity, and also works with charities. Being as inclusive as possible is one of the most important things for me when it comes to small businesses. I don’t want to shop from a company that only favors certain people. I also love how they spread the message of empowerment through their jewelry.
Products
Sakura Pendant Short Necklace

This necklace features a single cherry blossom flower. What I like about this piece is that the chain is shorter. It doesn’t feel like it hits my sternum every time I move.
Sakura Drop Short Necklace

This necklace features a sakura blossom, but also two petals and a single crystal at the bottom.
Sakura Twig Necklace

This necklace features two sakura blossoms on a golden twig, complete with a pink bead at the end.
Sakura Petal Long Earrings

These beautiful earrings are mismatched. One has a big sakura petal at the end, and the other has a small one. The sakura petals on each earring are also located in different areas.
Sakura Front Back Earrings

These earrings feature cherry blossoms on the stud, with a beautiful rose quartz colored bead at the tail end.
Sakura Dangling Earrings

These earrings feature cherry blossoms on the studs, with a cherry blossom petal at the tail end. These earrings also have two rose quartz colored beads.
Pink Sakura Stick Drop Earrings

These stick earrings resemble cherry blossoms on a branch. There is a single cherry blossom attached by a golden stick on each earring. Each earring features a single cherry blossom petal and beads.
Sakura Twig Mismatched Earrings

These twig earrings are beautiful, and perhaps my favorite pair of earrings. They are shaped like cherry blossom twigs, with a single cherry blossom on each twig. There are beads on the earrings to represent budding blossoms.
Conclusion
Overall, I am really impressed with Osewaya. I love how delicate and beautiful each piece of jewelry I received is. The best thing is that they are nickel free. As someone with a horrendous nickel allergy, having hypoallergenic options is a necessity for me.
Have you ever shopped from Osewaya before?
