what I got from Boston

Hi pretties! In November, I went to the lovely city of Boston and also visited Salem. Here’s what I got from both those places!

New England Aquarium Haul

The New England Aquarium had their special Animal Crossing event, so of course I had to go. I picked up four items from the aquarium’s gift shop. They included an Isabelle plush, a Tom Nook plush, a sticker, and a shirt.

Freedom Trail’s Faneuil Hall

The next day, we went to do the Freedom Trail walk. This included stops at both the ticket center and Faneuil Hall, so of course I got a handful of souvenirs.

I got a Harvard long-sleeved t-shirt. Harvard is in Boston. It’s a meme to make someone from Boston say “I parked the car at Harvard Yard”. I also got a Boston hoodie. I quite like my hoodies. I favor clothes instead of toys and other gizmos and gadgets from places when I go on vacation as souvenirs. I also got a cute sticker that says “Massachusetts Bumpah Stickah for the Cah”. This references the tendency of Boston’s people to drop the r from the end of words. They favor -ah instead. For example, someone not living in Boston would say “bumper sticker”. They would pronounce it with the rs at the end of the words.

I also got a Boston Celtics sticker and a cute sticker with a photo of Boston’s skyline. For the other stickers, I got an NFL Patriots sticker. The Patriots are my partner’s favorite gridiron team, and they have slowly made their way into my favorites as well. I also got a “Wicked Smaht” sticker. “Wicked Smaht” is how people from Boston say “wicked smart”. Wicked smart is a New England phrase that means very smart. I also got a “Wicked Good” sticker. Wicked good means very or extremely good in New England. Finally, there’s the “Wicked Pissah” sticker. “Wicked Pissah” is Boston slang for something that’s really or extremely good.

Salem

Salem was my favorite town in the Greater Boston area. I love that the town is very welcoming, despite its tragic backstory. I got a cool skeleton long-sleeved shirt from The Black Veil, a store that sells gothic and witchy goods. I also went to Moons Gift Shop and purchased a baby mothman plush. I bought a cute skeleton bat, a tote bag, and two stickers.

I also visited the Salem Witch Museum. I purchased The Handmaid’s Tale, the Hocus Pocus Spellbook, and a Salem T-shirt. Additionally, I bought a crystal necklace and a bracelet with a witch’s broom.

Overall, visiting Boston and Salem was quite wonderful, and I would definitely go back again.

Have you ever been to Boston or Salem before?
