Hi pretties! Summer is an especially tricky time when it comes to shoes for me. I am a boot girl through and through. I love my boots, even though I also have a soft spot for sneakers and the like. This makes finding appropriate footwear for summer more difficult. Here are the shoes I personally gravitate towards during the summer.
Adidas Superstar Sneaker

These are my favorite sneakers to wear for the summer. The Superstars are lightweight. They are white. This means my feet won’t be sitting in a pool of my own sweat. I like how I can still do a decent amount of walking in them, and they’re very sturdy as well.
Vans Old Skool Sneakers

Every emo/scene kid and their sibling had at least one pair of these. I love them because they bring me back to my high school years, back when I couldn’t afford many things. I love that the Vans Old Skool Sneakers are timeless, and I have even gotten them in different variations. I have the checkerboard pattern and the old school slip-ons that I coveted so much during high school.
Converse Low Tops

One of my favorite summer sneakers are my Converse low tops. They are lightweight, and let me walk around without feeling any pain. I also have the high-tops and I’ve been eyeing a knock-off pair of knee-high Converses as well. I love these because they go with everything. They can even add some edge to a frilly dress. They also make an evening outfit more comfortable. I would go half a size down in these (I got mine in a 7.5) as they are quite roomy.
Bobo’s House Shoes

I first heard about Bobo’s House as a brand last year. I decided to get a couple of pairs of shoes for myself. I’m normally not a fan of chunky shoes. I feel like they make my feet look way bigger than they are. Bobo’s House does the style so well. Their shoes are not too chunky and do not look tacky. I love how cute they are. I even bought two other shoes: these cute strawberry bunny high-tops. Sadly, the cherry blossom bear sneakers are sold out.
Toms Alpargata Loafers

I love my Toms Alpargata shoes. I have several pairs. They include a leopard print pair. There’s also a champagne glitter pair and a black lace pair. This is along with the plain black ones. These are perfect for everyday wear, including for work if your workplace has a business-casual dress code. I used to wear these to work in the summers when I worked retail. They let my feet breathe, and they were also easy to clean. You can chuck them in the wash along with your other clothes. The breathability of these shoes is what sold me on getting more than one pair.
Sperry Boat Shoes

For the longest time, I refused to get Sperry boat shoes. I thought they were “too preppy.” (Aah, the joys of being an emo teenager). A few years later, I finally gave in. I bought my first pair of Sperry Boat Shoes in a beautiful rose gold color. I still have those shoes, and they are one of the best investments I’ve made. They are leather, which means I can wear them to the beach, or even around a pier. They also are quite comfortable and easy to walk in.
mysoft Platform Sandals

These sandals from mysoft are surprisingly comfortable. I once walked an entire mile in these. Then I went back to my boyfriend’s house. My feet did not hurt for even a second. These are the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever gotten. I even got them in white because that’s how much I love them.
