Hi pretties! 💕
There’s something about a bag that feels like you. It is charming, feminine, and maybe a little vintage. It has just enough personality to elevate your everyday look. That’s exactly the energy of the “coquette bag” aesthetic: bows, pastels, romantic silhouettes with a modern twist. Here’s how I style mine and how you can too.
What is a “Coquette” Bag, Anyway?
Think soft-girl meets vintage romance. We’re talking pastel tones like blush, mint, and lavender. The hardware is dainty, featuring bows, pearls, and little ribbons. The shapes are elegant but not overbearing. The type of bag you carry because it sparks joy as much as utility.
My Coquette Bag Picks
Here are the bags I have (or have loved) that perfectly capture that aesthetic:
Kate Spade Love Shack Bag

This one is the epitome of coquette—heart-shaped, pink, undeniably girly. Full stop. Unfortunately it’s discontinued, but it always resurfaces around Valentine’s Day.
Marshall’s Heart Shaped Bag

Picked this up while working in retail—a beautiful dupe to the Love Shack. Got it for only $20, so it’s a dreamy bargain version of the style.
Ecosusi Summer Garden Romance Vintage Bow Briefcase

Technically a briefcase—but hear me out: bow detail, soft romantic aesthetic, laptop-friendly straps. A coquette bag that actually works for your workday.
Ralph Lauren Crossbody

When I was working, I picked this up. It channels the vintage luxury feel (hello Chanel Boy vibes) with studs, quilting and compact shape—coquette meets chic.
Badgley Mischka crossbody

My favourite of the lot. Gold studs, chain handle, pearls adorning the chain—ultimately perfect for the coquette girl who likes a little sparkle.
Beatfull Crossbody Bag

Pink, pearls, bejewelled bee emblem in the centre. All the details. Gives me serious pastel-charm with a little edge.
Card Captor Shoulder Bag

Bought this from a Kawaii store years ago. Bow and wing-design accents, star motifs… anime inspired but still coquette-friendly. (Yes, I considered bringing it to Japan—almost!)
Hello Kitty Tote

Technically from Miniso, grabbed it via AliExpress. Checkered pattern reminiscent of luxury designer bags—but with Hello Kitty charm and sweetness. I love how it blends childhood nostalgia with grown-up style.
Hello Kitty Shoulder Bag

Again from Miniso/AliExpress—same adorable motif, just shoulder-bag format. Keeps the coquette thread going in structural variety.
Betsey Johnson shoulder bag

When I was working at Marshall’s, I picked this up. Blush pink, heart-shaped rings, bow detail front and centre—utterly coquette and utterly me.
Karl Lagerfield Paris Crossbody

This one is a slight departure. It is burgundy instead of pastels. But hear me: bow front detail keeps the vibe. The dark colour adds maturity. It is perfect for travel minimal-essentials.
Romwe Satin Bag

From AliExpress again: pink satin-look, twin bows on the sides. This is the “extra” archival piece—super cute for flatlays or when I want to lean full pastel-charm.
How I Style Them
- With neutrals: white tee + jeans + one of these bags = instant charm without over-doing it.
- With matching pastels: a blush skirt + pink bag feels cohesive and soft-girl lovely.
- As a work option: the Ecosusi briefcase or the Karl Lagerfeld crossbody prove coquette can be practical too.
- For content: flatlays, pastel backgrounds, ribbon props—these pieces photograph beautifully and align with my “cozy-beautiful” branding.
Why I Love This Edit
Because these aren’t just bags—they’re mood, they’re aesthetic, they’re expression. They bring a little joy to everyday carry and keep my style playful. They reflect my personal brand: detail-loving, pastel-friendly, and grounded in content creation and story, not just surface.

Your bag collection is so beautiful, Winnie! I have that same Ecosusi briefcase that I bought back in 2023, when my workplace had me taking my personal laptop to work, because I’m the one with the writing/design skills. It is perfect for carrying my laptop, iPad, and phone together.
I have a different Betsey Johnson bag that I bought for $3 at a rummage sale at work a few years ago. I wanted it, and my coworkers told me I HAD to buy it because it was 100% my vibe. The great thing is that $3 also went to the Alzheimer’s Association, so it was for a good cause.
Thank you for reading Kat! I love how that rummage sale directly went to help a charity! It feels nice when our shopping helps out a good cause.
