Tarte Tartelette Palettes: A Lovely Trio

Hi pretties! 💕

When it comes to the Tarte Tartelette palettes, they’re absolutely worth the space in my makeup bag. I’ve owned and decluttered more than a few over the years. However, the ones I’ve kept are the ones that truly spark joy. They are soft, flattering, and versatile enough for every mood.

Today, I’m breaking down the Tarte Tartelette palettes I currently own. I will explain what I love about each. I’ll also share what I don’t love. Lastly, I’ll rank them all, both past and present.

Tartelette In Bloom — The Everyday Classic

The Tartelette In Bloom Palette was the second Tartelette palette I ever bought — right after the original all-matte Tartelette. It’s packed with soft neutrals that lean spring-appropriate, with an equal mix of mattes and shimmers for balance.

💄 Shade Overview
  • Charmer (matte off-white)
  • Jetsetter (matte warm taupe)
  • Rocker (taupe shimmer)
  • Smokeshow (matte black-brown)
  • Flower Child (matte peachy nude)
  • Smarty Pants (matte tan)
  • Firecracker (bronze-copper shimmer)
  • Activist (matte dark brown)
  • Funny Girl (champagne shimmer)
  • Sweetheart (matte peach)
  • Rebel (matte chestnut brown)
  • Leader (matte aubergine)

Overall, this palette’s matte shadows are a tad chalky, which is quite unfortunate, but the shimmers are absolutely gorgeous. The only matte shades I use are Charmer as a primer and Jetsetter for the crease. Rebel is perfect for a soft eyeliner look, and so is Leader. Smokeshow is the perfect shadow for when you want a liner, but don’t want a harsh liquid liner. Overall, this Tartelette palette is one of my favorite neutral eyeshadow palettes.

How I Use It

The mattes are a little chalky, which is unfortunate, but the shimmers make up for it — they’re gorgeous. Charmer is often used as an eyeshadow primer base. I apply Jetsetter for the crease. I choose Rebel or Leader for a soft eyeliner look. Smokeshow works perfectly as a liner shade for days when I want definition without harsh liquid eyeliner.

My Thoughts

Even with its texture quirks, this palette remains one of my favorite neutral eyeshadow staples. It’s reliable, balanced, and ideal for creating polished everyday looks or travel-friendly glam.

Tartelette Juicy — The Rosy Dream (Discontinued)

Oh, how I adore the Tartelette Juicy Palette. Sadly, it’s discontinued, but it’s one of my favorite Tarte palettes of all time — second only to Tartelette Energy.

The Juicy palette is everything I love: rosy, warm, and softly feminine. The color story is a blend of pinks, peaches, and rose tones. These shades flatter almost every skin tone. The dandelion-themed pink packaging is whimsical and delicate. It is a total vanity showpiece.

💄 Shade Overview:
  • Paradise (peach champagne shimmer)
  • Rose (matte rosy pink)
  • Orchid (pink shimmer)
  • Dream Chaser (pink-plum shimmer)
  • Blossom (matte peachy pink)
  • Shine (deep copper shimmer)
  • Petal (matte soft rose)
  • Luscious (matte cinnamon)
  • Reflect (golden champagne shimmer)
  • Happiness (matte rosy tan)
  • Dusk (rosy-brown shimmer)
  • Euphoric (matte cool deep brown)
Why I Love It

The warm-toned rosy pinks in this palette are ideal for soft romantic looks. The shimmers add a glowy, radiant finish I always gravitate toward.

Paradise, Dream Chaser, and Reflect are my most-used shades. They are perfect for brightening the lid. You can also pair them with soft blush tones.

My Thoughts

It’s a shame this palette isn’t available anymore because it’s one of Tarte’s most beautifully curated pink palettes. I reach for it often when I want that rosy, dreamy “soft girl” eye look.

Tartelette Energy — My #1 Favorite

Last but definitely not least — my beloved Tartelette Energy Palette.

If I had to describe it in one phrase, it would be soft pink perfection. It has the same pink vibes as Juicy. However, it comes with a more neutral, natural undertone. This makes it easier to wear for everyday looks.

Shade Overview:
  • Peaceful (soft champagne shimmer)
  • Good Vibes (soft coral sheen)
  • Uplift (matte rose)
  • Serenity (matte wine)
  • Vivacious (matte pale beige)
  • Charged (deep rose-gold shimmer)
  • Motivate (pink-berry shimmer)
  • Chill (grape sheen)
  • Invigorate (matte soft brown)
  • Aura (fiery copper shimmer)
  • Harmony (rustic gold shimmer)
  • Inspired (matte smoky brown)
Why I Love It

The shades blend effortlessly, and the shimmers have that signature Tarte glisten that makes the eyes pop without looking glittery. I especially love Peaceful for highlighting the inner corners and Charged for a soft wash of shimmer across the lid.

The pink-toned neutrals make this palette my go-to for effortless, romantic everyday looks.

My Thoughts

Everything about this palette feels right — the packaging, the soft color story, and the balance between mattes and shimmers. It’s flattering, cohesive, and easily my #1 favorite Tartelette palette.

My Tartelette Rankings

Here’s how I’d rank the Tarte Tartelette palettes in my collection (and a few I’ve decluttered over time):

Current Collection Rankings

  1. Tartelette Energy – my favorite neutral pinks, balanced tones, and prettiest packaging.
  2. Tartelette Juicy – fun, flirty, and rosy with a touch of sparkle.
  3. Tartelette In Bloom – timeless neutrals for easy everyday looks.

Past Tartelette Favorites

  • Tartelette Toasted – warm-toned perfection; the most flattering golden neutrals.
  • OG Tartelette – all-matte palette; beautiful concept, but I prefer shimmer formulas for my looks.

What I’ve Learned from Owning So Many Palettes

After owning so many Tarte palettes, I’ve realized something important. My ideal color story lives somewhere between neutral and pink. It has a balance of shimmer and matte.

I tend to declutter palettes that lean too matte or too orange. I keep ones that feel soft, luminous, and wearable across seasons. Tarte really shines when it comes to romantic neutrals — the kind that look effortless but always polished.

Final Thoughts

The Tarte Tartelette palettes have been a long-time love for me. Each one tells a little story. It starts from my early days experimenting with In Bloom’s taupes. I fell head-over-heels for the pink tones in Juicy and Energy.

They’re dependable and travel-friendly. They are always beautifully packaged. These are the kind of palettes that make you smile every time you open them.
