my favorite perfumes of all time

Hi pretties! I admittedly am a perfume fiend. I love trying different scents. Naturally, I gravitate towards more fresh, fruity, and sweet gourmand perfumes, so here are a couple of my favorites!

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Sweet

The Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Sweet EDP is one of my favorite perfumes. It reminds me of the cusp between spring and summer. It’s an eclectic mix of fresh, fruity, and floral, which is very delightful. I love how Eau So Sweet smells just like berries with a hint of gourmand sweetness.

Notes:

Top- White Raspberry, Bergamot, Crystallized Cloudberries

Middle- Daisy Tree Petals, Jasmine Milk

Bottom- Sugar Musk, White Iris Woods

Ari by Ariana Grande

Ari by Ariana Grande is another perfume that mixes fresh, floral, and fruity. It smells slightly more citrusy than Eau So Sweet, but in a wonderful way.

Notes:

Top- crispy pear, pink grapefruit

Middle-  juicy raspberry, soft muguet, rose buds

Bottom- vanilla orchid, marshmallow, creamy musk, blonde woods

Ted Baker Mia

Ted Baker’s Sweet Treats line came out a few years ago, and I got two perfumes: Polly, which smells like sugar and sweet fruits, and Mia, which smells a little more grown up. I prefer Mia out of the two because it’s sweet, but also not too sweet to the point of being sickly. As much as I love my gourmand perfumes, sometimes they end up being a little too sickly for my liking. Mia smells fresh and fruity with a hint of citrus.

Notes:

Top- Strawberry, Blackcurrant, Lemon

Middle- Rose, Lily-of-the-Valley, Freesia

Bottom- Amber, Patchouli

Burberry Her

Burberry’s Her is a bit more sophisticated than my other choices. Her has the same fruity and fresh notes that I love, but there is also a bit of spiciness in that. Over the years, I have realized as much as I love fresh and fruity perfumes, I also don’t mind a little bit of spice, such as woodsy notes and pepper notes.

Notes:

Top- red and dark berries

Middle- floral with a scent of jasmine

Bottom- sensual musk-amber

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy

Juicy Couture’s Viva La Juicy is one of my favorite perfumes of all time. I love how sweet it smells, but unlike most gourmand scents, this one has a fruity twist to it. Overall, Viva La Juicy smells quite delicious and is the perfect everyday perfume for me.

Notes:

Top- wild berries, mandarin

Middle- honeysuckle, gardenia, jasmine

Bottom- amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood, praline

Too Faced Better Than Sex

The Too Faced Netter Than Sex perfume is a sophisticated, grown up scent. It has the fruity notes I know and love, but also has a bit of earthy tones and also a hint of pepper. This would make a great date night perfume, or even a perfume suitable for a gala.

Notes:

Top- Passionfruit, Lychee, Fuzzy Peach, Luscious Citrus

Middle- Pink Magnolia, Jasmine, Vanilla Orchid, Black Rose

Bottom- Golden Amber, Patchouli, Cedarwood, Sensual Musk

YSL Mon Paris

YSL’s Mon Paris is a fruity scent that smells mainly of berries, but with a floral and woodsy twist. This is perfect for everyday wear, and I have brought this traveling with me (domestically while driving) because it’s one of my favorite scents of all time. I love the bottle’s design as well, with a simple black bow tied onto the bottle.

Notes:

Top- red berries

Middle- white datura flower

Bottom- white musk

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Glace

Juicy Couture’s Viva La Juicy Glace is a deliciously sweet scent that doesn’t smell too gourmand. It smells rather refreshing, yet sweet. I also love the frosted glass bottle and the pink bow.

Notes:

Top- Mandarin Orange, Cassis, Pear, Sorbet

Middle- Jasmine, Orange Blossom

Bottom- creamy sandalwood, comforting vanilla, warm amber
