my favorite blog and instagram photo props

Hi pretties! As a content creator, it’s important to manage taking beautiful photos. Photos aren’t the whole star of a blog post or an Instagram post. Nevertheless, they constitute a good chunk of these posts. Here are some of my favorite photo props to use in my photos!

Pearls

I love using pearls in my photos. I bought some pearls from Amazon, and I have bought several more packs from Shein and Temu. Pearls add that coquette touch to my photos. Pearls have become one of my favorite photo props to use due to their versatile nature.

Bows

I love bows. I love using bows in my beauty photos, lifestyle photos, and sometimes my fashion photos. Bows add that nice coquette touch as well besides pearls. I bought some bows from Shein, and I even got some bows with pearls. I even got some bows made from pearls from Shein, Temu, and Amazon.

Acrylic diamonds

Acrylic diamonds are something new to my photo prop arsenal. They are versatile and add a touch of sparkle to my photos.

Confetti

Confetti always makes a great photo prop. You can scatter small pieces in between gaps to fill them in. They also add a nice sparkle if they are glittery or metallic. I bought several packs of confetti, all of them star shaped. I like how stars look, as they are the most versatile confetti shape that adds a unique twist.

Faux flowers and plants

One of my most used photo props are faux flowers and plants. I find that using faux plants is less messy than using actual plants. They also last longer. My favorite faux flowers to use as photo props are peonies and roses. They add a nice, girly touch to my photos and are great space fillers. I also have a box of forever roses from Amazon that I sometimes use as a backdrop. I also have two beautiful rose boxes from Pretty Luxury Bouquet.

Notebooks and planners

I will sometimes use some pretty notebooks and planners as space fillers, or as a background for smaller products. I have plenty of unused notebooks and planners (thanks to my ADHD) that have never been written in. Some of them have been used as blog notebooks, but for now, I prefer using them as props.

Tulle

I recently discovered the beauty of using tulle as a backdrop. It adds a soft, pink background for my more girly photos. It also makes an excellent backdrop for taking photos of jewelry, especially earrings. I ended up buying a regular pink tulle background and one with pearls embroidered on it.

Faux fur rugs

As trendy as faux fur rugs are, they make excellent photo backdrops. Nothing screams timeless like the old photo taken on a white faux fur rug. I also love the plush backgrounds and silk backgrounds from Prop Club Co.

Trays

I love using trays as photo props. I have quite a handful of trays from Homegoods which now house my perfumes. Nonetheless, one of my favorite photo props are these vintage-style mirror trays. I love using them for beauty photos and the occasional lifestyle photo.
