The Lip Balm Edit

Hi pretties! Lip balm is one of my most important beauty essentials. I have perpetually dry lips. So, it’s an absolute must for me at home. It is also essential when I’m doing my makeup. I have several lip balms that I like using at home. These include the Laneige Sleeping Lip Mask. They also include the Lip Treatments from My Bee Balm. Here are my favorite lip balms to wear on a day out or even at home casually.

Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm

The Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm is a really nice lip balm. It’s slightly overpriced at $24 per tube, but it makes for a nice daytime treatment. You can even slather it on at night for a nourishing overnight treatment. I got three of the Butter Balms: Vanilla, the original, Pink Sugar, and Vanilla Beige. I’m eyeing the Birthday Cake flavor as well. This is definitely one of my favorite lipbalm products of all time.

YSL Loveshine Lip Oil Stick

I really love the YSL Rouge Volute Lip in Oils. So, I decided to try the Loveshine Lip Oil Stick. It feels slightly more nourishing than the Rouge Volupte Lip in Oils. I got the shade Nude Lavalliere, my favorite shade in practically everything YSL Beauty sells.

YSL Candy Glow Tinted Butter Balm

These YSL Candy Glow Butter Balms are another favorite. They add a wash of color, which is perfect for me. I love a good wash of color on the lips with semi-bold (read: cat-eye) eyes. I got two shades in the Candy Glow Butter Balm: Pink Sunrise, a pale pink, and my beloved Nude Lavalliere.

Fresh Beauty Sugar Lip Balm

The Fresh Beauty Sugar Lip Balms are by far my favorite lip balms. They are thick and nourishing. They are perfect for that wash of color when I don’t want to wear lipstick or lipgloss. My favorite color is Peony, a beautiful neutral rosy pink. I also love Berry, a subtle berry color. Other favorites include Petal, a nude pink, Bloom, a neutral pink, and Rose, a subtle but bright rose toned pink.

Rhode Peptide Lip Tint

I wasn’t initially interested in the Rhode Peptide Lip Tint. However, after months of resisting, I finally caved and bought two. The Lip Tints are essentially tinted lip balms in a tube, and I love the way they nourish my lips. The colors I got were Ribbon, a sheer pale pink, and Toast, a rosy taupe.

NARS Afterglow Lip Balm

The NARS Afterglow Lip Balm is another favorite. These moisturizing balms have a blend of antioxidants to protect lips, and adds a lovely wash of color. I have two of the lip balms. One is the classic Orgasm, a beautiful peachy pink. The other is Dolce Vita, a sheer dusty rose.

Clarins Lip Perfector Sheer Lip Gloss

Technically, the Clarins Lip Perfector is not a balm, but a lip gloss. However, it feels so balmy and nourishing that it performs exactly like a lip balm should. I got the original Rose Shimmer, a beautiful shimmery pink color.

Laneige Lip Glowy Balm

I love the original Sleeping Lip Mask, so I decided to give Laneige’s Lip Glowy Balm a try. It performs exactly like the Lip Sleeping Mask. I think this one is better worn during the day or at work. Despite that, it still gives that beautiful glossy look.

Dior Addict Lip Glow Balm

The Dior Lip Glow Balm is THE lip product of the century. With its aesthetic pink cover, this is such a popular, timeless product and I definitely see why. The product itself feels quite nourishing, and adds a lovely little bit of color. I’m also eyeing the Lip Glow Butter from Dior as well.

Shiseido Integrate Sakura Jelly Essence

The Shiseido Integrate Sakura Jelly Essence is a Japanese beauty product. It is essentially a balm, but has SPF in it to protect the lips from any sun damage.
