sugarpill shadows

Hi pretties! Sugarpill is definitely one of the more unique beauty and makeup brands I’ve tried. It’s a colorful, bold brand, which is interesting for me. I’ve never been a fan of bold colors. Still, these loose shadows can convince me otherwise. I believe that I can rock a bold eye look.

About Sugarpill

Sugarpill Cosmetics was founded in 2010 by Amy Doan (also known as Shrinkle). The brand’s idea emerged in 2003. At that time, multiple people asked about Amy’s dramatic, bold makeup. She was running her own DIY clothing line then. On Valentine’s Day in 2010, Amy launched the first collection for the brand, and the rest is history. All cosmetics are vegan and cruelty free. Amy’s love for animals inspired her to make the brand cruelty-free. The About page on the brand site features Amy’s cat named Turkey.

The shadows

I purchased the Loose Shadow Mega Bundle , which includes 12 shadows. 7 of them are cult classics, and 5 are all brand new shades.

Magpie

Magpie is a silky black with navy undertones.

Memento

Memento is a royal blue with rainbow sparkle.

Polar

Polar is a metallic cerulean with rainbow sparkle.

Countess

Countess is a metallic maroon with aqua sparkles.

Asylum

Asylum is a metallic crimson red with sparkles.

Penelope

Penelope is a glittering metallic copper.

Goldilux

Goldilux is a beautiful metallic gold

Charmy

Charmy is a beautiful pink-toned peach with rainbow glitter.

Mystic

Mystic is a duo chrome and one of five new shadows in the collection. It is a beautiful blue duochromatic loose shadow that shifts between pink, blue, and purple.

Flora

Flora is another shadow from the new collection. It is a duochromatic chartreuse green. This shade shifts between gold and green.

Fever Dream

Fever Dream is a duochromatic melon orange that shifts between rose pink and soft peach.

Trance

Trance is a deep burgundy maroon with a duochromatic shift to fuchsia.

Solar

Solar is a metallic brick red.

Overall, I love Sugarpill’s mission statement and the bold colors of all these shadows. I personally would not wear these to work or out during the day. However, I would definitely break these out when there’s a party or an event where I can wear colorful makeup.
