Hi pretties! Finding little ways to treat yourself can be quite a nice thing. Still, some ways to do that can involve quite the number of dips into your wallet. Here are 30 ways to treat yourself. You don’t need to dig out that wallet or pull out that maxed out credit card for these techniques.
Take a 15 minute walk outside
If you have a spare 15 minutes on your plate, it’s nice to take a walk outside. Some netizens call that “touching grass”. Being outside, even if it’s just for a few minutes, can greatly lift your mood and improve your health.
Buy yourself some flowers
Write your name in the sand as well! Despite this, flowers are a nice way to treat yourself. You don’t need to pick the most expensive flowers either. A decent sized rose bouquet at the grocery store can be $10-15. One unique way to make this free is to snip some flowers off your neighbor’s hydrangea bush. You can also snip a clipping off that beautiful magnolia tree in the public park.
Take a nice bath
Let’s admit it; we all have some bath products stashed away in our bathrooms. Why not put those to use and run a nice bath for yourself? Nothing says “treat yourself” quite like a bath after a long day of work.
Cook your favorite meal/bake your favorite dessert
There’s nothing better after a stressful week than making your favorite meal or baking your favorite dessert on the weekend. Put on that apron and get baking or cooking!
In-house spa day
I admit, I would love to go to a spa. The exorbitant prices are off-putting though. To mitigate the couple hundred dollars you have to spend at a spa, you can do it at home. Use those sheet masks you haven’t touched in weeks. Pick your favorite nail polish. Give yourself a good pamper. This is not only a free way to treat yourself. You are also using up products you have forgotten about anyway.
Watch your favorite movie
There’s nothing like watching your favorite movie at the end of a long work day. This is a perfect low-cost way to treat yourself because everyone and their mother has a Netflix account. If you don’t have a Netflix account, Tubi and Pluto TV are two excellent free alternatives.
Read your favorite book/a book you’ve recently picked up
If you’re not a movie fan and are one with the booktokkers, you can pick up your favorite book. You can also pick up a book that you’ve recently picked up from the bookstore or library.
Find some free events in your area
A good way to treat yourself over the weekend is to find some free events in your area! There are always markets to visit. In some places with Smithsonian museums, admission to those museums is free.
Have a tea or coffee outside
On those nicer warmer spring and summer days, one way to treat yourself is to make a coffee or tea. Sit outside on the balcony or deck if you’re lucky to have one. If you do not have a patio or deck, go to a local coffee shop. You can get a coffee there and sit outside.
Make your favorite drink
One way I love to treat myself for free is to make my favorite drink. This usually means I have a hot chocolate during the autumn and winter. During the spring and summer, I have a soda or mocktail. Enjoying your favorite drink at the end of a long week is a special treat. It can also be delightful at the end of a long day.
