Hi pretties! When it comes to a work wardrobe, everyone knows the classic pieces. A nice top, nice pants, nice shoes, etc. Here are 8 pieces to spice up your work wardrobe without being too costly!
A pair of chunky loafers

These are your everyday loafers for work, but amped up. These loafers from Dream Pairs have a chunky sole, adding more edginess to an everyday work wardrobe.
A classic Oxford shirt

An Oxford shirt is a classic work wardrobe piece every girl should own. You can wear them by themselves, over a tank top, or even over a dress for extra layers. They can also be worn with a pair of work pants, or even a long skirt. This classic piece can be styled in so many ways.
A power suit

One thing I’ve learned from preparing for job interviews is the importance of having a suit. Not only can you wear the suit together, you can also take components of the suit and wear them separately. For example, you can wear the blazer by itself, or even the pants by themselves. Not every suit has to be black; they can also be grey, navy blue, or even other beautiful neutral shades.
A simple blazer

Having a simple blazer can kick any work wardrobe up a notch. Blazers can be worn with dresses, Oxford shirts, skirts, and even with jeans. Having a blazer on can add a hint of sophistication without being too over the top.
A mid-length shirtdress

One of my favorite work wardrobe pieces is a shirtdress. It looks proper, and with a belt, you can definitely add some flair. I love shirtdresses. They can be worn with a blazer. They also pair with any work-appropriate shoe, like a Chelsea boot or an espadrille.
A cardigan

Another one of my favorite work wardrobe pieces is the cardigan. I accumulated a lot of cardigans over the years, so I am well prepared in this category. They not only make any outfit look instantly smarter, it’s also a layering piece. Thus, it’s perfect for an office that always runs a tad too cold.
A pair of espadrilles

My favorite pair of espadrilles are definitely the Toms Alpargata shoes. They are styled like Argentine-style espadrilles. Toms Alpargatas are also quite comfortable, and look very smart. I used to wear these as my interview shoes for casual jobs like retail and fast food. They will also work in a business-casual environment.
A pair of Chelsea boots

The last work wardrobe piece to add are a pair of Chelsea boots. Chelsea boots look smart, and they cover the ankles, perfect for those chilly autumn days. I love pairing these with a maxi dress in the winter for a smart but edgy look for work. They also pair well with leggings under a shorter dress for warmth.
