Hi pretties! I love it when things are pretty but practical essentials. They are not only pleasing to look at, they also serve a purpose. Here are 5 of my pretty but practical essentials!
Puffy Macbook Case
I always take my MacBook with me when traveling, so of course I had to get a case for it. I wanted a case that wasn’t too bulky, but also looked really good. Enter this puffy MacBook case from Vandel. I love that it has the puffer look without being too bulky. It can compress itself to fit into your backpack. This is handy because I stuff my backpacks almost to the bursting point when traveling. I know for a fact that with this case, my MacBook will be well protected.
Quilted Large Makeup Bag
I much prefer slightly larger makeup bags when traveling. That way, I can not only hold my makeup, I can hold other toiletries. For example, I can hold all my makeup for the trip plus my hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. These quilted large makeup bags from Amazon are gorgeous. (I love a good coquette moment.) They are also quite roomy.
LoveShackFancy x Stanley collaboration
I first saw that LoveShackFancy was collaborating with Stanley. At that moment, I knew I had to pick up at least one cup. I love Stanley cups because they encourage me to drink more water. They are also durable. Their best quality is how they keep cold drinks cold. Nothing is worse than drinking lukewarm water on a hot summer day. I got five cups from the LoveShackFancy Stanley collaboration. I got all four cups from the original collaboration, plus the pink bow cup from their Christmas collaboration. I love how aesthetically pleasing they are. They are also functional. They keep me hydrated and keep my drinks cool.
Michael Kors Rhea Backpack
This bag has obviously been well-loved due to the slightly misshapen quality it now has. This used to be my work bag when I worked retail, and in my office job as well. It’s big enough to carry my essentials (emergency pouch, water, frozen food, etc.) and it has lasted quite a long time. I have had my Rhea backpack for almost five years, and it’s been quite a useful thing. I also used to bring it while traveling, but now stick with a cheaper backpack. The reason for sticking with a cheaper backpack is because of pickpocketing reasons, but I digress. I would definitely use this as a work bag again if I find a job. I would also use it for a weekend trip. I would also wear this while traveling domestically. I feel there is less risk of being robbed at home.
Stil x Kali Mae Planner
When TikTok influencer Kaeli Mae announced her collaboration with planner company Still, I promptly took the opportunity. I purchased the planner set, which came with the binder and a dated planner back in 2023. Two years later, it remains quite useful. I can simply buy other A5-sized planner inserts to put in it. I love how it has a ruler to mark what section of the year we are in. It also comes with many pockets for your cards, and has a little loop to hold your pens. I’m positive I will be using this binder for a long time. I will use it to plan things or to take notes.

Planners are definitely a thing I want to start getting into. I think they’re useful if used right. Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you for reading Jeanette! Planners are definitely one of the things that keep me on track, especially with my ADHD!
